Below are some of the most frequently asked questions to help you get a better sense of what to expect

*I am not ready to attend in-person therapy, do you offer online appointments?

Yes. All appointments are offered online via tele-health, in-person and over the phone. Once you have inquired and completed your Intake, you will be sent an information to link into a secure HIPAA-compliant tele-health platform where we can conduct your sessions.

*Can I use my insurance even though you are out-of-network?

I do not accept insurance and am considered an out-of-network provider. However, I do offer Superbills for you to submit to your insurance plan in case your plan offers reimbursement for your services. Some insurance plans offer a portion of coverage, so it truly depends on your specific plan.
*How come you don't accept insurance at this time?
I believe it is in the client's best interest to have full control over their own healthcare. While insurance is meaningful and important to have, I do not find it compelling to have a third-party (i.e. insurance companies) make the final decision on what services can and should be covered. When decisions are left up to a third-party, someone usually end up with the shorter end of the stick- and clients have ended up with additional bills which insurance did not cover. In order to avoid the inconvenience of these types of situations, I have decided not to accept insurance as payment. I find better satisfaction in a direct approach where I disclose my full rates directly with clients. This leaves the guessing work out of the entire process, leaving more time to focus on the most important part of treatment, which is YOU.
*I have never received therapy, what will happen?

Starting any new journey can be riddled with fear, your courage to even think about therapy is one of the bravest steps you could take in your journey to heal. Therapy starts with a formal bio-psycho-social assessment, where your therapist is able to find out information about your current condition and appropriately diagnose the issue that is causing your current symptoms. Using this information, your therapist will support you to develop a treatment plan which then allows you the time needed to discuss your issues. Therapy is different for every person. Some people need to meet more frequently than others and each plan is tailored to your individual needs. You will partner with your therapist to identify the BEST plan for you. Once you are invited to begin your therapy sessions, we will effectively carry out specific interventions to achieve your desired treatment plan goals. Each person's goals and treatment plan differ based on their condition. You can expect to be fully supported in accomplishing your goals to resolve your current issue.

*I am so nervous about starting services, is this normal?

Absolutely! While I would encourage you to start service, it is very normal to be nervous about beginning a new journey. I am so ready to meet you and help you along the way, it will get better and soon enough your nerves will settle. Despite your nerves, I encourage you to attend your sessions and it will get better.

*I am NOT a Christian nor do I follow any faith, can you still help me?

Yes. No matter what your spiritual beliefs are, I have tons of experience working with individuals from all belief systems. While the style of therapy offered is faith-informed, you do NOT have to share the same viewpoint. I do believe you will find the support beneficial and am committed to supporting you despite where you come from.

*How long will therapy take?

Every situation is different. While I aim to conduct brief therapy (approximately 6-8 sessions), there are some issues which are more complex than others which may require an extensive amount of sessions. Each treatment plan will highlight the amount of sessions needed to help you resolve your issue.
